Join the East Lancashire Railway (ELR) for afternoons and evenings of effortless elegance, style, sophistication and superb first-class service in 2022.

Food-lovers and train enthusiasts can now book to treat themselves and their loved ones to drinks, lunch and dinner on board the traditional Pullman-style carriages, as tickets for the railway’s Dining with Distinction experiences throughout 2022 are now on sale.

Toast to Scotland’s national bard Rabbie Burns at ELR’s Burns Night Dinner - complete with haggis, cranachan and shortbread - wine, dine with a significant other at the Valentines Night Dinner or celebrate England's heroic dragon slayer at the St George's Dinner. These are just a few of the Themed Nights ELR have in this year’s calendar.

By stepping on board, guests will be transported back in time to raise a glass, enjoy indulgent feasts or take afternoon tea, while being hauled by a steam train through the picturesque Irwell Valley.

And there’s a Dining with Distinction experience for every taste, appetite and occasion, as those seeking new experiences can enjoy events from the four-course ‘black tie’ Premium Nights to Gin and Wine Tasting Nights and Murder Mystery Nights.

Premium Nights at ELR are the ultimate indulgent experience, giving guests the chance to walk down a red carpet to a sparkling reception with delicious canapès, followed by a full four-course fine dining experience, live music and table magicians on board an iconic locomotive.

Guests can also join the heritage railway for its popular themed events, including the Italian Night Diner and the four-course Red Rose Diner, where couples or groups of friends can enjoy Lancashire’s ultimate steam train dining experience.

With a calendar packed full of events, the railway is also putting on an array of dining experiences to celebrate this year’s holidays and key dates - all while winding through picture-perfect scenery.

You can kick your afternoon or evening off with a drink at The Trackside, ELR’s own heritage pub right on platform 2 at Bury Bolton Station, before climbing aboard for your dining experience.

Rated 5 stars on Tripadvisor, diners are always a sell-out experience, so book now to avoid disappointment later in the year!
