Global fitness brand, Orangetheory Fitness, has announced a grand opening event to officially open its studio to the public in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

The studio, based at 4 George Street, Altrincham, has been running classes throughout December to its founder members, and will officially open its doors to the public in a ceremony taking place on Saturday 5th January 2019, between 5 and 9pm.

Guests at the event will be treated to food, drink and a DJ, and will have the opportunity to meet the full studio team and find out more about what makes an Orangetheory Fitness workout so unique. Everyone who attends will be automatically entered into a raffle with fantastic prizes on offer, as well as receiving goodie bags on arrival. Lululemon will also be featured, providing some treats for guests. Members will also be provided with a 2019 kick-start kit, to help them achieve their new year fitness goals. Orangetheory will also be announcing full details of their 8-week transformation challenge, starting 21st January.

The first Orangetheory Fitness studio launched in Florida in 2010 and the brand has since expanded to over 1,000 studios in 17 countries. Altrincham is the first town outside of London in the UK to become home to Orangetheory Fitness, with the brand looking to open 40 new studios across the Midlands and Northern England by 2026.

Orangetheory Fitness classes offer a one-hour, full-body workout, focused on training endurance, strength and power. Backed by the science of Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (or EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart-rate-monitored-training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy, which results in burning more calories post-workout than traditional exercise.

Jason Zavasnik, Franchise Director of Orangetheory Fitness Midlands & Northern England said:

“This is a very exciting start for us as we begin our journey across the Midlands and Northern England. The studio has been well received by all of our amazing founder members so far and created a real buzz in the Altrincham area, so we can’t wait to open our doors to the public and continue to grow the Orangetheory community.”

Adam Bowerman, Studio Manager of Orangetheory Fitness Altrincham said:

“We identified Altrincham early on as the ideal place for our first studio outside of London, so it’s fantastic to see everything come together. We wanted to throw a party to announce our opening, and everyone is welcome, whether you’re already a member, considering signing up or just curious to come in and have a look round the studio - come celebrate with us!”
