Eight apprentices have earned themselves permanent jobs at Wesleyan’s Birmingham head office after becoming the latest group to successfully graduate from the mutual’s 18-month training programme.
The apprentices are the eighth group to complete the scheme run by the specialist financial services mutual. Each individual scheme has been designed as an alternate route into financial services careers, to provide hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications, specific to their role.
Louise Beards, Early Careers Partner who manages the Wesleyan apprenticeship scheme said:
“Wesleyan has always nurtured talent within the business and within the community. These apprentices have really grown over the past 18 months and we are proud of them and the effort they’ve put in. Their professionalism and dedication is truly outstanding. We hope they will have successful careers here for many years to come.”
Jack Briguglio, who has just completed his apprenticeship in the Wesleyan Cyber team, will now be taking up the role of Junior Cyber Analyst commented:
“Joining the apprenticeship scheme has given me invaluable exposure to the cyber world and numerous opportunities to develop technical skills and progress in my career. During my apprenticeship I was recognised for my contributions to the team and was awarded the Wesleyan employee recognition award.”
More than 60 apprentices have joined Wesleyan’s apprenticeship scheme since 2010. After attaining a variety of qualifications in business, financial services, customer service and IT the vast majority continue to work at Wesleyan and develop their careers.
Wesleyan offers specialist financial advice and services to doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers.
