“Our businesses and communities need more support than ever” - that’s the message coming from Tiverton-based insurance broker Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking; formally BH&S Insurance Services.

With so many businesses facing challenges, upheavals and even closure over the last year and a half, it’s refreshing to report on a local company that is going from strength to strength.

The personal approach to business services offered by local companies has never been more valued than now. The Pandemic fuelled the “Buy Local” movement, as people recognised the value in a personal service on their doorsteps. This is particularly true when it comes to financial services and insurance, where local knowledge and the ability to deal with real people has paid dividends.

Tiverton based insurance brokers, B H & S have always understood this benefit and are delighted to have recently become incorporated under the Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Umbrella.

Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking is a growing collection of local insurance brokers that have been operating in the Southwest for over fifty years. Lloyd & Whyte are an established independent insurance and financial services provider based in Taunton, Somerset.

Director of Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking, Paul Short, explained the rationale behind the move;

“BH&S will be rebranded as Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking although our people and service will remain the same. When it comes to business, nothing beats local knowledge for a personal service. Knowing an area has always meant we can provide more accurate quotes as we understand the issues and potential pitfalls in any given area. That is why we are keen to grow our Community Broking division and we are excited to now have BH & S onboard as we recognised that they have the same service lead ethos as us”.

Giving back to the community

Paul said
