Tilney Smith & Williamson Announces Raft Of Bristol Promotions Ahead Of Major Rebrand

Tilney Smith & Williamson, the leading wealth management and professional services group which is set to re-brand to Evelyn Partners this summer, has strengthened its business and private client teams in Bristol with 11 new promotions.


They include Katherine Colledge, formerly a director in the firm’s business tax services team, who has been promoted to partner.


Katherine specialises in complex tax compliance work for her clients, who range from small private businesses to large UK and multinational groups, including a number of listed companies. She advises on all aspects of UK corporation tax, including group re-organisations, debt structuring and transactions.


Colleague Clare Anderson becomes a director in Tilney Smith & Williamson’s business tax department. Her experience spans a broad range of taxes in the UK and multiple international jurisdictions, both in practice and in-house.


Clare has specific experience in tax compliance and reporting, due diligence and other transactional and structuring advice, with a focus on clients in the real estate sector.


She is one of six director promotions in Tilney Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office. Other promotions include Samantha Cooper who becomes a director in the firm’s audit team.


Samantha has ten years’ experience providing audit and assurance services to owner-managed, private equity-backed and AIM listed businesses covering a broad range of sectors including media and tech, retail, manufacturing and construction.


Also promoted are Jamie Kirkpatrick and David Read who both become directors in the firm’s investment management team.


Jamie manages portfolios for a wide range of private clients, trusts and charities while David similarly looks after investments for private individuals, corporate clients and charities. Jamie and David are both Chartered Fellows of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.


Also promoted to director in the financial planning team is Matthew Tribe, a chartered financial planner and fellow of the Professional Finance Society, who manages the financial affairs of high-net-worth clients.


There are also several new associate directors including Leigh Cecil (financial planning), Rob Davies (private tax services),Charlotte Maybee (business outsourcing services), Paul Stagg (corporate finance) and Jade Voo (financial planning).
