PM+M, the Blackburn headquartered chartered accountancy, business advisory and wealth management group, has promoted two of its directors to partner level.

Antony Keen becomes a partner of the firm after being a director in the Wealth Management division since 2014. He has worked at PM+M for 29 years. His core work includes financial planning, estate planning, inheritance planning, investments and corporate pensions.

The second promotion is Helen Binns. Helen, who joined PM+M 11 years ago and heads up the Burnley office – a position that she has held since 2015. Helen deals with all aspects of accounting, auditing and financial management for charities and companies with turnovers from £50k up to £45m in various sectors including distribution, retail and manufacturing.

Jane Parry – managing partner of PM+M – said: “Both Antony and Helen’s promotions are hugely deserved as they are incredibly talented in their respective fields. They embody what PM+M stands for as a business thanks to their unwavering commitment to both their clients and the success of the firm. Jane added: We want to ensure a strong succession plan is in place so it is always fantastic to reward and promote talent from within our own ranks.”

PM+M was founded in 1919 and now operates from offices in Blackburn, Burnley and Bury. It offers a range of services via its Corporate Services, Tax, Wealth Management, Run My Business & Technology teams including; corporate finance, audit and accountancy, tax planning; and an all inclusive and fixed fee package covering bookkeeping, accounts, payroll, VAT and tax returns.

It was also recently announced that PM+M had retained its Investor in People Gold Standard Accreditation. It was originally awarded the accolade back in 2014. This highly respected standard is the benchmark of excellent people management practice and recognises the commitment of organisations that invest more in their teams.

The company was praised on a number of key areas including; how roles are designed to deliver organisational objectives and create interesting work for people, while encouraging collaborative ways of working; how people’s capabilities are actively managed and developed thereby allowing people to realise their full potential and ensuring the firm has the right people at the right time for the right roles; and how leaders within the business have a clear understanding of the external environment and the impact this has on the future of the firm.
