Following a year of strong results, technology solution and DFM specialistParmenion has continued on its recruitment drive.

Mollie Thornton joins the discretionary investment team – Parmenion Investment Management (PIM) with 10-years’ experience from leading investment consulting firm, Mercer. She will initially be focussed on the Defaqto 5 Diamond rated Ethical solutions, Passive solutions and also support our gender parity campaign - #AdviseHer – which aims to drive better female engagement with investing, given the particular risks and challenges faced by women today.

Peter Dalgliesh, Managing Director of PIM, commented:

“Five years after the Pensions Freedom reforms, it is becoming clearer and clearer that everyone needs support in designing, implementing and managing an investment strategy suitable for their personal circumstances. PIM is focussed on providing advisers with a range of Risk Graded investment solutions to assist them in their conversations with their clients who are facing a growing range of challenges, not least of which is the trend of living longer. This re-emphasises the value and importance of investment advice and how PIM is here to help.

Mollie’s insights into both investment and our expectations of living for longer will add an extra dimension to our team discussions. Everything we do in PIM is about a diverse team’s collective delivery of attractive, risk adjusted returns. I am sure Mollie will quickly make her mark.”

Mollie added:

I’m delighted to be joining Parmenion, which clearly has an incredible reputation and excellent track record. The investment team is very dynamic and collaborative so I’m excited to share ideas to support the strong risk-adjusted returns of the portfolios. I enjoy the variety of working across asset classes: looking at equities, bonds, property, cash and other alternatives. Passive solutions are a very important part of the offering and I will be supporting the rigorous selection and monitoring of our passive funds. I also have a special interest in the Ethical solutions and will be helping ensure they remain at the forefront of this growing area, to meet our advisors’ and their clients' needs."
