Together has recruited a new regional development manager for the East Midlands as the specialist lender strengthens its presence across the Midlands and throughout mainland UK.

Emma Tempest has joined the group’s commercial team to work with property investors, entrepreneurs and businesses in the region to help them access the finance they need.

With more than ten years’ experience in property and finance, Emma previously set up an independent brokerage, providing mortgages and short-term loans, and is a keen property investor herself.

Emma, from Nottingham, said:

“I’m really looking forward to being part of a team which puts common sense into its lending decisions. I’ve already been impressed with Together’s personal touch, looking at each case on its merits, rather than relying on a computer to make a decision.

Having built my own home, I understand what it is like to develop property and how important access to finance can be to start or complete a project.”

Daniel Owen-Parr, head of professional sector and auction at Together, said:

“Emma’s experience, built up over a decade working in finance, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reach. She already has a strong network made up of investors, businesses owners and property finance professionals and will be introducing Together’s offering to an even wider network in this region, where we’ve been building our presence over the last two years.”

Established in 1974, Together has been providing specialist finance to customers for over 43 years, with annual lending to 30 June 2017 at close to £1.2 billion and a current loan book of more than £2.37 billion.

The lender is constantly evolving its commercial product offering, most recently with a new specialist buy-to-let range and an increase in buy-to-let loan size to £2 million from £500,000.
