A Northern based accountancy firm has announced it is expanding its operations into South Asia with a major recruitment drive for the creation of a new financial division.

The firm has recruited 50 new data analysts specialising in guiding companies on investment decisions and managing financial projects as part of an affordability campaign to secure redress for victims of financial mis-selling.

Victims of financial mis-selling are often given poor advice, not had the risks of the associated product adequately explained, or not been informed of additional charges and fees associated with the product.

Most of the new recruits will be based at a new site in city of Lahore, with a few based in the small town of Okara, boosting the team’s existing headcount in Manchester and the Middle East.

Originally from Okara, Pakistan, Founder and CEO Tanzeel Rehman expressed his pride in seeing his company continue to grow.

“Going global has been fantastic for us as a business, which was always something I wanted to do,”

he explained.

“By hiring additional staff in Pakistan, we have generated more opportunities for people in the region. Given it was the country I was born in, it makes me feel even more proud.

“Our new financial mis-selling division will allow us to provide specialised services and support to those impacted, enhancing our overall portfolio."

TR Forensic Accountants was established in May 2022 and provides a wide variety of accounting services, with a particular focus on specialist forensic accounting such as expert witness report writing for legal practices undertaking civil cases.

A year after its launch the firm signed 17 clients, and this number has now more than trebled to 56 as its journey from local roots to global expansion goes from strength to strength.

Under Rehman’s leadership, TR Forensic Accountants has expanded to Oman and Pakistan, and now aims to progress beyond its current achievements and work towards new ambitions.

Rehman’s road to success has been fraught with difficulties. Growing up in poverty, financial issues forced the businessman to take on numerous challenging jobs before he could pursue his passion of accounting.

Mr Rehman added:

“It has been a tough journey, but we have achieved so much over the last two years. I look forward to the future and seeing the results of our success.

“What matters much more than the numbers for us are the people: it has always been about forming those relationships and building trust.

“We are committed to retaining our authenticity in the future and doing what we have always done: welcoming change when it comes and prioritising our clients first in everything we do.

“We hope to continue our growth, leveraging our global presence to deliver exceptional service and create meaningful opportunities wherever we operate."
