The team behind the recent £1 million award over a disputed Somerset farm inheritance is expanding to meet demand.

Hayley Bundey is joining the inheritance and trust disputes team at Stephens Scown LLP as an associate.

Hayley joins Stephens Scown from Crediton and Bath based firm McMillan Williams Solicitors, where she built up the inheritance disputes team.

Stephens Scown’s managing partner Robert Camp comments:

“Our inheritance and trust disputes team is gaining a national reputation for the calibre of its work. The recent success at the High Court where the team helped its client secure over £1 million, is just one example. The team’s workload has increased along with its reputation. That is why we are especially pleased that Hayley could join the team. This is a complex area of law and Hayley brings extensive experience with her, as well as sharing our focus on providing the highest levels of client service.”

Stephens Scown advised Lucy Habberfield in a recent High Court case, where she was awarded over £1 million in recognition of the work that she had carried out at the family farm over a period of 30 years.

Stephens Scown’s inheritance and trust disputes team has top tier ranking from Legal 500. The independent legal guide says of the team:

“its strength lies in the real specialist knowledge and strength in depth which it uses to good effect to get great results”.
