In May this year, Goughs Solicitors welcomed new Senior Associate and Head of Employment, Rebecca Dennis. Since joining the firm, Rebecca has launched a number of new employment law services, in order to offer further support to businesses in and around Wiltshire. With her background of more than 20 years as a barrister providing legal advice, and more recently providing specialist trouble-shooting services on employment law and employee relations, Rebecca is well-equipped to tackle any employment issue that may arise.

Employment law can be a potential minefield and an area of law subject to constant change. Litigation is not only costly, but can be a major distraction. Difficult situations are sometimes unavoidable which is why getting the right advice from the start is paramount. In order to help businesses navigate this minefield, Rebecca has launched Goughs Solicitors’ HR Hotline, which is intended to provide businesses and their owners with peace of mind. It allows unlimited access to an employment law and HR specialist, who can help to solve day-to-day HR queries and offer guidance through employee relations, leading to safe decision-making.

In the first instance, Goughs offer clients a Contracts and Employee Handbook Review and Revision session at a flat fee. This is an excellent way to start and means that both parties can be sure that the apt systems and processes are in place. Once this has been achieved, the business will have unlimited access to an expert whether by telephone, MS Teams or email. The HR Hotline is intended to operate just like an in-house HR expert, but at a fraction of the cost.

But why choose Goughs? Rebecca has been recognised for her specialist knowledge and skills by Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500, and Goughs Solicitors have a reputation for providing practical and useful advice to all its corporate clients. The firm builds long-lasting relationships by working closely with clients to make sure their advice is tailored to each individual business. Finally, Goughs also provides regular newsletters to keep employers and employees alike updated on employment law news and any changes that could affect businesses.
