Specialist individual income protection provider, Cirencester Friendly, is celebrating a double win after taking home two awards at the insurance publication, COVER’s, recent Customer Care Awards. These were the individual award for “Young Insurance Person of the Year” and the coveted “Customer Service Above & Beyond” team award.

20 year old Catherine James, Accounts Assistant at Cirencester Friendly was awarded “Young Insurance Person of the Year” for her outstanding support as Financial Services Administrator in the Customer Care Team. She was particularly praised for her dedication in getting to know the advisers with whom she works on an individual level, as well as her innovative creation and development of a new record-keeping process which has been adopted across the business.

The “Customer Service Above & Beyond” win recognised Cirencester Friendly’s dedication to its advisers and Members – with a focus on the personal service provided and the staff’s in-depth knowledge of products. The Society’s ‘125 Foundation’ was also highlighted as one of the key differentiators. The foundation provides financial support to deserving communities and individuals as part of Cirencester Friendly’s ambition to support its Members beyond contractual needs.

Cirencester Friendly was also nominated for a further two individual awards – Victoria Clark for Outstanding Customer Care and Jo Green for Best Intermediary Support.

Paul Hudson, CEO, Cirencester Friendly said:
“We were thrilled to be nominated for four awards at these prestigious events and to have won two of them was exceptional, especially when the competition includes large multi-national firms. The ‘Above & Beyond’ award recognises the unparalleled service that the whole team provides on a day-to-day basis and we are extremely proud of Catherine’s success in the “Young Insurance Person of the Year” category too. Catherine is a key member of the Cirencester Friendly team and, despite only having been with us for a year, has already developed new processes used across the Society.

“The whole team is delighted with its success and we look forward to continuing this as we develop new products and services for our Members.”
