Elated independent financial advisers are “on a high” after celebrating their 25th anniversary – and confidently setting their sights on further growth and jobs creation.
Sleaford-based Money Minder, which currently employs 12 people, is headed by Managing Director Ray Black MSc FPFS and his wife and fellow Director, Karron. Their daughter Alannah, a Chartered Insurance Institute qualified financial service administrator, also works for the business.
All three are more than simply proud of how far the business has come and the wide-ranging services it provides to people locally and across the UK. They are equally passionate about the transformative power of financial peace of mind.
Ray said:
“We are driven by the vision of a future where our clients experience the profound confidence and security that comes with expertly managed wealth. Our purpose goes beyond financial transactions. It’s about enriching lives, fostering lasting peace of mind, and creating a legacy of financial stability that empowers our clients and their families for generations.”
The busy firm, employs a dedicated and experienced team, but it is also eyeing-up further growth. Ray and Karron are always keen to hear from prospective employees who would love to work for a diverse business which also helps people to protect their families, grow and maintain their wealth, and provides practical solutions for its clients’ inheritance tax and estate planning, long term care planning issues and much more.
“Wealth management, pensions and investment work account for the lion’s share of our businesses. We carry that out in a number of ways to suit each individual client. It can include meeting them face-to-face, chatting over the telephone or by conducting a consultation digitally, over Zoom or Teams,”
said Ray.
“We are delighted to be approached by people from across the UK. Most clients hear about us through word of mouth, others are referred to us. Each is treated as an individual with individual needs. Once they have their own Wealth Management Portfolio in place, they are able to access it through our website daily.
“Unusually, we have also created an exclusive online investment course for our clients. It was originally created as a significant part of my Master’s Degree in Financial Planning and was invaluable during the Covid Pandemic. The course helps our clients to understand the main asset classes in which they can invest and the main risk types that will affect the returns they achieve on their life savings. It covers decades of valuable information that helps clients to make informed investment decisions.”
Money Minder is also playing a key role in ensuring people retiring from the public sector are financially prepared for the next stage of their lives and the firm has been delivering retirement and investment planning workshops for the NHS for over 20 years.
Karron said:
“We are determined to continue educating and empowering more people on all aspects of financial matters, which many feel are extraordinarily complex. We want to make sure they that they can make sound financial decisions for both their own and their family's future.”
People looking for life insurance, critical illness and income protection plans can tap into lots of free help and advice via the firm’s website www.money-minder.com which offers products from a wide selection of insurers and help’s users to access them cost-effectively.
The Money Minder team and their guests celebrated the firm’s 25th Anniversary with a special get together at the Carre Arms in Sleaford.
“It was a real success. Everyone seemed keen to stay for as long as possible, enjoying the conversation, music, games and buffet,”
said Karron.
“What was really special to see was that so many of our clients know each other quite well and were chatting together. The fact that so many people were catching up with old work colleagues, family members and friends at our 25th Anniversary was just brilliant."
Ray added:
“The trust and the positive feedback that we so consistently receive, along with the regular word of mouth personal recommendations from clients, have been pivotal to our long term success. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey."
