Coaching and Training Consultancy, Natural Talent Bristol, is now pleased to be offering short Virtual Management Training Modules.  The first 5 companies to book will receive 30% off.

The modules are delivered in 1 to 2-hour Interactive Sessions and will cover popular topics, such as:

  • Introduction to Successful Management
  • How to Communicate more effectively with key Stakeholders
  • How to sell Consultatively
  • How to Cope with Stress, and Develop Resilience
  • How to Create a High Performing Team
  • How to deliver Effective Feedback
  • How to have the Difficult Conversations
  • How to Manage Conflict
  • How to Plan, Organize, Prioritise, and Delegate to be more productive

In the UK employee engagement levels are as low as 10% with between 27% - 50% of workers actively looking for a new role.  Many organisations are focusing on cost-cutting measures and in challenging times they tend to stop investing in their training and development.  Of course, not developing talent only leads to increased levels of disengagement and attrition.  Hence Natural Talent wanting to support companies by providing highly practical, interactive, and cost-effective online training modules to cover key development areas.

Jill Maidment, CEO and Founder of Natural Talent, explains why the modules are proving popular:

‘Clients carry out a training needs analysis to identify where their team members are struggling.  They then pick the most common development areas, and we provide tailored virtual classroom training sessions, often before or after lunchtime.  Individuals like the opportunity to learn management skills that will help them in their roles.’

Of course, more traditional in-person classroom training programmes are still effective but in the fast-paced hybrid workplace leaders often want a ‘quicker fix’ which is a more cost-effective option.  Currently there is also a lot of discussion around AI and eLearning with many companies relying heavily on eLearning platforms, especially for onboarding and induction.   However, frequently, feedback from new hires is that there is a lack of connection and engagement if they are learning about their new employer and role online.  Although it has its place, especially in fully remote global companies, Jill often receives feedback from people who want to see and talk to a human being on screen!

Jill says:

‘If you have tried to sit and work through hours of bullet points on screen, peppered with video snippets, and the occasional quiz, you will know that it’s hard to remain engaged. Therefore, often content from eLearning platforms is quickly forgotten.’

The reason for key facts, figures, policies, and procedures not being retained is due to the way we tend to learn, and of course we’re all different.  Research shows that we retain more information when we are actively listening, making notes, and actually carrying out a task.  Similarly, online learning or ‘quick fixes’ from apps don’t tend to lead to sustainable behaviour change, which is how habits and accepted ways of working are formed.  In today’s more complex workplace behavioural, interpersonal, and soft skills are increasingly important to individual and business success.
