We are so proud of our two apprentices, Scott Carpenter from Street who works at Hindhayes Infants School as a Business Administration Apprentice and Thomas Bailey who works as Apprentice Commis Chef at The Swan Hotel who both won their categories at the Bristol & Bath Apprenticeship Awards. The Bristol & Bath Apprenticeship Awards are a celebration of the best and brightest young learners as well as the people who are helping them to succeed. The awards are a chance to give an outstanding apprentice a big pat on the back for their hard-earned achievements or thank a business for backing fresh talent. The event was made at a glittering awards ceremony on Thursday 25th November 2021 at Ashton Gate Stadium. Scott from Street won the Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Public Services) for his work at Hindhayes Infants School and Thomas from Wells won the Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Hospitality, Travel & Customer Service) for his role at The Swan Hotel.

‘I enjoy being an apprentice as it means that I am able to learn my role hands-on whilst also being able to study at college. I think that the fact you can earn whilst learning plays a big factor into why I enjoy myself too. The mix of work experience and studying means that I can always learn and improve on lots of things.’
