PUPILS from Lark Hill Community Primary Schoo have revealed a stunning visual representation of what makes their local area special alongside national housebuilder Lovell Homes.

The “Communi-Tree” celebrates the vibrant and diverse voices in Pendleton, which will be at the heart of what makes Lovell’s new community, named Spinners Quarter, so special. Year Six pupils took inspiration from the brief of “a place where people come to live, grow, and flourish” to add associated words and colours to each leaf with the final design now proudly adorning the development’s hoardings.

Anne-Marie O’Doherty, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said:

“We wanted to do something different with the hoarding space at Spinners Quarter and thought they made a fantastic canvas. What better way to represent the fantastic community that we’re now working within, as well as the one that our team is creating, than to work with the next generation on a fantastic art project.

“Local people bring our developments to life and are at the heart of our aim of creating lifelong homes. Having this beautiful representation of the different voices and backgrounds that make up the area is a great way to mark the beginning of Spinners Quarter.”

Gemma Lavelle, Head of School at Lark Hill Community Primary School, said:

“Our pupils enjoyed having the chance to think about what makes where they live unique and to create a visual reputation of what their community means to them. They loved seeing their design come to life and it’s great to see terms such as ‘diversity’, ’friendship’ and ‘neighbour’ featuring in the design; all values that we also celebrate at school.

"Thank you to Lovell for inviting us to take part in this project and for donating all of the art materials we needed to make it happen.”

Spinners Quarter offers a mixture of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties that will cater for a wide range of first-time buyers and families. The development will proudly provide a wide range of housing, as well as some fantastic additional features such as cycling routes and nearby allotments.

The development is already seeing high interest with 25 homes already reserved or early birded. Prices start from £246,950. Property enquiries and appointment only viewings available to book here: https://www.lovell.co.uk/developments/spinners-quarter/.
