Manchester-based children’s health and social care entrepreneur Riz Khan has concluded a second successful exit in 2019 with Outcomes First Group being acquired by NFA Group.


With Sovereign Capital Partners investment, Outcomes First Group became one of the largest providers of specialist education to young people and adults. It is a specialist provider of outcomes-led learning, life skill, and therapeutic care for children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).


  • At exit, Outcomes First Group wasis one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist care and education to children and adults and is one of the highest quality-rated large providers as published by Ofsted and Inspectorates.
  • operates 45 care facilities for children and adults, 12 specialist schools for children, together with a college for young adults
  • looks after in excess of 800 young people and adults across services ranging from specialist schools to residential care and specialist fostering.

From joining Outcomes First Group as chairman, Riz, a serial entrepreneur with unbridled passion for the health and social care sector, has worked alongside CEO Graham Baker and the senior management team to improve operational activity.


Adding significant value through mentoring management and improving systems, processes and governance at board level whilst combining future growth opportunities, he concluded with leading the board to a successful exit in August.


Riz, who has a 25-year track record of business growth and transformation, is the lead partner at Inspire Capital, an investment fund specialising in the health and social care sector. He is currently co-founder of Sanctum Healthcare and Care 4 Children.
