One of Birmingham’s brightest graduates has joined leading city recruitment firm Katie Bard.

Kizzy Ramah, Birmingham Future’s Graduate Apprentice for 2016/17, has joined Katie Bard for the second leg of the annual scheme run by the young professional network.

Birmingham Future’s Graduate Apprentice scheme attracts hundreds of applicants for a chance to spend four months working for three different employers in the region over a year.

The 22–year-old is heading up a progression development project during her four months with the Waterloo Street-based company.

Kizzy, a University of Birmingham business management graduate, said: “It’s fantastic to have been given this opportunity at Katie Bard.

“The company has shown a lot of faith in me and has given me the chance to lead a project which involves me analysing how people have progressed during their careers after being placed into jobs.

“I’m tracking the impact that Katie Bard’s recruitment process has had on candidates’ careers and if they’ve gone on to secure promotions and leadership roles over time.

“The project will help Katie Bard to measure the impact of their recruitment model on candidates’ careers as well as the value this adds to businesses.”

Kizzy, who lives in Digbeth, spent the first four months of the Graduate Apprentice scheme with the Business Growth Fund, and her final leg will be with SYSTRA, which was formerly known as JMP Consultants.

“The Graduate Apprentice scheme is the perfect opportunity to find out what career path might be right for you,” she added.

“I’m developing invaluable skills, making new contacts across Birmingham and I’m taking as much as I can from the experience.”

Katie Bard, which is part of the international Angela Mortimer group, is supporting the Graduate Apprentice scheme for the third time.

Verity Stokes, divisional leader at Katie Bard, said: “The Graduate Apprentice programme identifies the cream of the crop in graduate talent in the Midlands and we’ve enjoyed great success being one of the employers supporting the scheme.

“We’re really pleased to be involved again and to have Kizzy as part of the team. She’s working on an important project for the company and we’ve been extremely impressed with the qualities she’s brought to the role.”
