Abbey College Manchester Celebrates Medical Entry Success

Abbey College Manchester is jubilant as its students receive much-coveted places to study on prestigious medical degree programmes, following exceptional examination success.


Nine aspiring doctors, dentists and surgeons from the leading independent college have secured a place to read Dentistry or Medicine at a variety of highly-regarded universities around the country. They will continue their studies at well-established destinations including Aston University, University of Bristol, University of Central Lancashire, University of Leeds, University of Liverpool and the University of Sunderland.


One key success story comes from Henry Zhang (19), who following his outstanding accomplishment of 3 A*s at A-Level, has secured a sought-after place to study Medicine at the esteemed Imperial College London.


The medical entry success follows hot on the heels of the college’s announcement of its partnership with the St Georges University in Grenada. The new international affiliation presents students with an invaluable opportunity to enter onto degree programmes where they will begin their studies at the University of Northumbria, before experiencing the state-of-the-art facilities that St George’s has to offer while, enjoying the rich culture of the colourful Caribbean island.
