The UK’s largest independent recruitment organisation has teamed with leading cancer charity Macmillan to accelerate efforts for vital cancer support.
At present 2.5 million people are living with and beyond cancer in the UK and Macmillan rely purely on their supporters to try and ensure they can support everyone affected by cancer.
Resource Solutions Group (RSG), which is headquartered in Bristol with offices across the whole of the UK, have staged fortnight long Silent Auction to raise much needed funds.
A donation of £3510 has been given in response to the rising number of cancer sufferers through the auctioning of valuable items brought together from contributions across the local community.
Adams Meadows, director of RSG said “We have experienced an incredible response across our organisation and from many of our valued clients following our appeal to raise money for Macmillan.
“We received over 60 items and experiences donated both internally and from our clients which helped us raise this phenomenal sum. This has included items such as a GoPro and a Silverstone Race Day.
Macmillan is a charity close to the hearts of many of our staff and we are really grateful to have been able to help them in the work that they do.”
Macmillan want to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and inspire millions of others to do the same.
Ceris Bradley, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan in Bristol said “We are so grateful for the support of RSG – this donation is a brilliant example of businesses coming together to support one another, with the outcome of a fantastic donation for Macmillan. We spend more money on Macmillan services in Bristol than we bring in, so the support of companies like RSG is vital if we are to keep funding our professionals across the city.”
