The Numbnuts team has returned in one piece from its incredible 874 mile cycle challenge across Europe, travelling from London to Barcelona with help from lead sponsors Hayfield Homes and Knight Frank, in order to raise money for The Oddballs Foundation and their fight against Testicular Cancer.

The gruelling challenge was tackled by a team of 14, who undertook a 6 month training regime to prepare them for the hard conditions. Numbnuts team member and Partner at Knight Frank, Mark Johnson, reflects on the teams’ achievements,

“Spending up to 10 hours a day in the saddle was demanding and painful to say the least and we all had massive highs and lows, but the good cause and camaraderie of the team kept us all going. I experienced some of the most beautiful landscapes and contrasting weather conditions I’ve ever seen – during the torrential rain and thunderstorms it was reassuring to know that we would have somewhere warm and dry to recuperate!”

Lead sponsors Hayfield Homes and Knight Frank arranged the team’s accommodation, ensuring they had a good night’s sleep and were fighting fit each morning. Mark Booth, Managing Director at Hayfield Homes, commented,

“We have a great relationship with Mark, having worked with him on our new homes site in Tiddington, so when he told us about the Oddballs challenge we jumped at the chance to support him.”

The OddBalls Foundation was set up to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer, and with the money raised the foundation aim to fit “check yourself” guides into male bathrooms and changing rooms across the country.

So far, the team has raised over £22,700, with time left for the public to help them meet their £35,000 target. To find out more about their epic journey and to make a donation, visit their Just Giving page: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/NumbNuts2018.
