A unique festival-themed event is hitting the North West on 5th July, offering Manchester’s business leaders a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be one of the first to race on the brand-new track in the home of British Cycling, while raising vital funds for Maggie’s cancer charity.

MancVelofest is inviting cyclists to take part in a competitive one-lap challenge on the newly fitted Manchester Velodrome track. All cyclists will have a training session with world-class professional cyclist Richard Lang and will be awarded a commemorative jersey. The challenge will be accompanied by professional commentary from BBC Sport commentator, Hugh Ferris, and live interviews with Olympic cycling medallists.

And for spectators, the summer event promises to be a night to remember; all ticket holders will be treated to a welcome cocktail by The Alchemist, specially brewed beer by Brightside Brewing, festival food by Striped Pig and an exclusive dessert from Living Ventures. Attendees will also enjoy the sounds of legendary Hacienda DJ Dave Haslam and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners.

All proceeds from MancVelofest will go to Maggie’s, a charity which is tirelessly dedicated to providing free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Maggie’s Manchester provides a tranquil environment for all those effected by cancer throughout the North West.

MancVelofest is being run in partnership with Tour de Manc, a Manchester-based charitable company which through cycling events, raises money for numerous worthy causes.

Danny Franks, co-founder of Tour de Manc, commented:

“MancVelofest is offering Manchester business leaders a truly unique and exciting opportunity to raise money for Maggie’s.

“This corporate charity event with a difference has already attracted a selection of businesspeople from some of the city’s most high-profile companies, including; HSBC, Rothschild, JMW, Pochins, NorthEdge and Bruntwood. We invite all those who are brave enough to take to the track or join us to cheer on their colleagues in an evening of delicious food and drink and exclusive entertainment, for an incredibly worthy cause.”

Tables of ten are available for £1,200 or individual tickets for £120.
