..Equine Therapy Charity, Glint, at their annual charity golf day

Over 40 golfers took to Blankney Golf Club on Friday 8th of September for a fun-filled day in the late summer sunshine.

Organised by Lincoln Business Club, Lincoln's longest running networking club and kindly sponsored by Pepperells Solicitors and One Stop Business Finance, nine teams took to the course to enjoy their second Golf Day and Summer Social with local charity partner, Glint.

Glint is a "profit-with-purpose" social enterprise based in the Lincolnshire Wolds. They use Equine Facilitated Learning as an effective alternative to traditional therapy, as well as coaching to leaders and businesses across the region.

Lincolnshire Business Club members nominated Glint as their 2023 Charity of the Year, spending time raising both awareness and vital funds for their charity partner.

Heidi, the driving force behind Glint, has many years' of experience as a coach, therapist, trainer, and mediator. She also gleans upon her knowledge as a Senior Practitioner and Tutor for LEAP, one of the UK's lead providers of accredited Equine Facilitated Learning and Psychotherapy practitioner training.

Equine Facilitated Learning is a non-directive and non-confrontational way to help individuals and groups improve self-confidence, mental health, personal and professional development, stress and anxiety.

Heidi Dawson, CEO and Lead Facilitator at Glint, shared her delight on the success of the day:

"Although we have previously been operating in Yorkshire since early 2010, we are newcomers to Lincolnshire, so it is really heartwarming to see how the members of Lincoln Business Club have taken us under their wing.

The support we have received through the Golf Day has been second-to-none."

Set in the heart of rural Lincolnshire, the beautiful parkland golf course at Blankney was the idyllic setting for a day of networking, golf, and activity to support the deserving charity.

With the generous support of Pepperells Solicitors and One Stop Business Finance, 100% of the proceeds raised £1,200 will be donated to Glint.

Alex Nightingale, Committee Member at Lincoln Business Club and Enterprise Coordinator at Lincolnshire County Council commented on the day:

"A huge thank you to all that supported or attended the day. It was fantastic to see so many people having a great time meeting new people and raising money for the charity. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year."

An additional 20 guests attended the ‘Summer Social' and enjoyed a prize-filled raffle, and a delicious meal, with thanks to the team at Blankney Golf Club.

Many Thanks to all individuals and businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes and sponsored a tee.
