A luxury Warwickshire hotel, Billesley Manor, has announced it will be supporting local charity, The Shakespeare Hospice, during its extensive refurbishment programme, which is currently underway.

The hotel has revealed that it will be donating furniture and fixtures from a total of seventy one renovated rooms between now and next year to the hospice, which last year supported over 1,000 adults and young people across South Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. The Shakespeare Hospice will be able to sell the furniture to raise much needed funds to continue to provide its range of specialised services, including a Day Hospice, Hospice at Home service and pre and post bereavement support for families, young people and children.

Stephen Fearnley, General Manager at Billesley Manor, said:

“We’re thrilled to be able to support The Shakespeare Hospice with its fundraising efforts by donating furniture collected during our refurbishment programme. The work that the hospice does is absolutely fantastic and it’s great to know that funds raised will play an important part in helping it to continue to provide caring and compassionate support to adults and young people in the local community.”

Billesley Manor is currently renovating a number of its public areas as part of a schedule of refurbishments designed to return the former Elizabethan home to its full potential, with minimal disruption to guests.

After returning to private ownership in 2017, last year saw investment lovingly spent on the venue’s elegant event space, which overlooks the historic 120-year-old Topiary Gardens and is the perfect place for couples to say, ‘I Do’. Alongside this work, the spa and Health Club received a complete renovation, elevating the facilities and offering a relaxing, tranquil environment for guests.

This year sees further exciting changes to be made to the reception, bar, the Great Hall and its gallery, the restaurants, corridors and lounge areas, in order to re-establish Billesley Manor as a renowned luxury hotel and spa. Additionally, there will be a full refurbishment of Cedar Barn and the Manor House bedrooms.
