Greater Manchester-based Regit has launched its all-new digital garage as part of its plans to generate one of the automotive industry’s biggest and most accurate collections of compliant and useable first-party data, with over 6m drivers (approx. 20% of the UK’s motorists) signed up by the end of 2023.
Regit, which currently has over two million motorists with an active digital garage, has actioned its plan to invest and grow significantly to coincide with what will be a prosperous time for the motor industry once we reach the end of the chip shortage, with sales expected to reach volumes not seen before in the UK.
As part of its new launch, Regit has completely redesigned its website and offering which includes the creation of an electric and hybrid hub. The hub will educate motorists on how they can transition to a low or zero-emission vehicle as the shift to sustainable motoring continues, despite Andy Burnham’s recent postponement of Greater Manchester’s own Clean Air Zone.
The hub is supported by Regit’s team of Auto Experts, a dedicated and agnostic support team helping to advise buyers on both new and previously owned vehicles. Such is the prominence of sustainable motoring, over 40% of all conversations are about electric and hybrid vehicles, with 95% supporting the transition to a lower emission model.
In addition to its significant development of aftersales reminders and services, users can take advantage of new tools such as a salary sacrifice calculator, fuel vs electric comparison tracker, ULEZ checker and can even offset their carbon emissions through Regit’s partners, iOffset.
The creation of new features and tools has allowed Regit to expand its data collection to over 300 touchpoints meaning it generates useable data that shapes car buying, selling and maintenance decisions for millions of motorists in unique ways.
Chris Green, Regit CCO and founder, said:
“The development of the new digital garage, and site as a whole, has been a significant investment for us to make sure we’re in the perfect place to substantially scale our pool of compliant first-party data. We’ve done this so we can fully support our OEM and dealer partners with much-needed retention, such as identifying lapsed owners, as brand loyalty begins to subside in this new era of zero-emission motoring. “For consumers, the new garage been developed to make sure car and van ownership is easier than ever before and without the fuss and hassle that, still in this day and age, adds stress to motorists across the country. We’ve been able to seamlessly integrate partners’ platforms across buying, selling and aftersales that means for every possible motoring eventuality, Regit is the place to go.
“And that goes above and beyond just looking after you and your family's vehicles too. The drive to sustainable motoring is well known but through our own research and as the understandable opposition to Greater Manchester’s own CAZ shows, we know its daunting, confusing and serious barriers to sale exist. The creation of our new site will directly use this data to remove those barriers to sale and continually react to changing habits so we’re always in a position to help and support motorists with the impending shift from combustion to EV and hybrid.”
