Two Greater Manchester actresses put their talents to the test in a series of quirky new videos to mark the launch of a new smart card and products.

People in Greater Manchester can now, for the first time, use a single get me there smart card for all their journeys on any Greater Manchester tram and bus.

The mark the launch of the new products, a series of videos have been developed featuring local actresses Nicole Evans, from Wythenshawe and Safiya Haq, from Dukinfield, who play the same characters at three different ages in the videos.

Developed by creative agency SKV, they show Nicola and Safiya having daft chats about their children, about celebrities and about their partners’ hobbies.

The videos make humorous use of the *bleeping* noises made when passengers touch the get me there card in or out of the system when they make a journey.

The videos are intended to get people talking – about funny conversations overheard on the bus or tram. Viewers are being encouraged to share the videos as well as their own stories of funny and strange conversations they’ve overheard on public transport.

The videos will feature across TfGM’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts and people can get involved by using #getmethere.

TfGM are also offering get me there users the chance to win 28-day unlimited travel across the bus and tram network. There are 10 prizes available and to win, passengers simply need to snap a selfie with their get me there card whilst travelling on the bus or tram, and then share it on Facebook or Twitter. Full details including terms and conditions are available at www.facebook.com/OfficialTfGM.

The get me there smart card system makes it easy for users with a get me there account to view and purchase a range of products online, making travel easier and more flexible and eliminating the need to carry cash or queue at ticket machines. It also offers added security for season ticket holders as any lost or stolen tickets and travelcards that have more than over 7 days left to run will be replaced.
