Specialist distributors in leisure equipment and supplies, Miriad Products is going from strength to strength and has recruited three senior employees to support its continued growth.

Even with the disruption to many businesses over the last few months, Miriad has found new ways to expand and thrive in the industry.

The newly filled positions include Financial Director, a new position for Head of Purchasing and an Account Manager focussed on Miriad’s latest expansion into the marine market.

Vicki Edgerton has taken on the role of Financial Director. With over 30 years’ experience working in finance, Vicki is qualified as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

She said:

“I am excited to take on this new role and hope to provide the team with the right tools and training to be the best they can, while creating a culture where finance is challenged, not feared.”

Head of Purchasing was filled by Hannah Hankin. Spearheading the team with over six years’ experience in similar roles, Hannah will be collaborating with stakeholders and maintaining strong relationships to improve business processes.

Hannah explains:

“The position is newly created at Miriad, there’s a large scope to use my skills and past experiences to build a strong department, becoming more efficient and improving availability in the supply chain.”

Miriad’s third recruit is Account Manager, Paul Cooper. Paul has previously worked for Miriad Products and has returned to support the team as they expand the marine industry.

Paul commented:

“I have over 30 years’ experience in the leisure industry and I’m excited to build relationships with boat builders, chandlers and many others in the marine industry so we can put Miriad on the marine market map.”

Miriad has also seen growth internally with promotions in the existing team.

Richard Toon has been with Miriad since 1998 and will be taking on the position of Commercial Director for large OEMs and New Business Development. The role will allow Miriad to investigate new business avenues in other sectors, such as the marine industry, as well as in other countries including New Zealand and South Korea.

Nathan Harding’s promotion saw him going from OEM Sales Manager, to Commercial Director. With nearly 30 years’ experience at all levels in the leisure industry Nathan’s knowledge and technical background will help streamline processes in the planning and procurement areas.

Miriad Products Managing Director, Penny Whitelock said:

“I’m excited to see where our growth will take us this year. We’ve got so many exciting things happening, our new appointments and promotions but also our expansion into the marine market and building our international trade routes.

“I have no doubt the team will continue to penetrate more sectors and countries and enhance our excellent reputation in the industry.”
