Leading energy and environmental consultancy Zenergi has today announced the appointment of Jamie Hall as Chief Sustainability Officer.

The new strategic role comes at a time when sustainability has never been firmer in the spotlight as the UK accelerates its roadmap to Net Zero by 2050 following the agreement of critical COP26 pledges.

Having held various leadership roles in the energy industry, Jamie will bring his interest and expertise in engineering to help minimise the built environment’s sustainability impact, by leading Zenergi’s technical services division, Briar.

Alongside this, Jamie brings over a decade of experience in building sustainability strategies for UK and global organisations and will help drive Zenergi’s ambitious environmental, social value and corporate governance strategy, including our commitment to the UN’s Race to Net Zero and all other sustainability programmes.

Speaking of his appointment, Jamie said:

“I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed a career in an area that has grown and continues to grow in importance and relevance. Globally, sustainability has never been more important than it is today but, as COP26 highlighted, we still have a long way to go. Encouragingly, more and more organisations are leading by example by embedding sustainability into the core of their business, and I think Zenergi is in a unique position to support customers. Our expertise can really make a difference for clients aiming to accelerate in this area, and I’m looking forward to helping them on that journey.”

Graham Cooke, CEO of Zenergi, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Jamie to the Zenergi family. The pace and scale of change required to get the UK to Net Zero will require a concerted effort and we know Jamie’s experience and expertise will help us spearhead this transformation.”
