Burton based waste and recycling business, Willshee’s is delighted to be named a Best Practice Representative in The Parliamentary Review 2018. Co-Chaired by Lord Blunkett and The Rt Hon Sir Eric Pickles the review charts the award-winning company’s journey from its establishment in 1984 with just one vehicle and ten skips to now employing 90 people across three separate sites.

To celebrate the achievement, representatives from Willshee’s attended The Parliamentary Review annual gala dinner at the Palace of Westminster in London, on Thursday 6th September, which included guest speakers Amber Rudd MP and the Head Coach of the England National Rugby Team, Eddie Jones.

Dean Willshee, Managing Director of Willshee’s said:

“We are delighted to be involved in this year's Parliamentary Review and we hope our story will help other businesses. It was great to attend the gala dinner and meet other best practice businesses and talk to government officials about our work at Willshee’s. Achievements such as this are down to our great team here at Willshee’s who are committed to protecting our environment through the recycling and sustainable services we offer.”

The Parliamentary Review is a guide to industry best practice, which demonstrates how sector leaders have responded to challenges in the political and economic environment. It is distributed to over 500,000 leading business executives, policy makers and other relevant individuals each year.

This accolade follows the company being named in the London Stock Exchange Group’s Top 1000 companies to Inspire Britain in 2018, as one of the UK’s fastest growing SME’s.
