Rural Solutions, the UK’s leading rural diversification specialists, has announced the opening of its new offices in Milton, on the outskirts of Oxford, Oxfordshire. The new offices will create four new positions locally, however the company anticipates taking on additional employees to meet the strong demand for its specialist rural planning, architectural design and advisory services.

The decision to open offices in Oxfordshire was taken to better support clients in the area while also allowing the business to centralise its specialists in an accessible part of the country and meet the regional demand for its services from both existing and new clients.

The company has ambitious plans for its new Oxfordshire offices due to the unprecedented demand for its rural planning, design and advisory services from farmers, landowners and rural businesses. Rural Solutions will be recruiting across all of its service lines to meet the demand from landowners and farmers preparing for the changings expected as a result of Brexit and the Government’s planning policies.

The new office will be headed up by James Del Mar, a Fellow of the RICS, with nearly thirty years of experience advising landowners and farmers across the UK on estate planning, recruitment of key staff as well as improving their businesses models and maximising the return on their assets. James also sits on the National Trust’s Commercial Advisory Board and has guided the owners of a large number of UK based estates.

James Del Mar, Executive Director of Rural Solutions and leading the team at Oxfordshire, comments:

“We’re already seeing unprecedented change in the countryside as a result of Brexit and changes to the national planning policies. As such, there’s an increased demand for our services from landowners looking to plan and prepare for change which has allowed us to expand to meet the growing demand from our clients”.

Rural Solutions, headquartered in Skipton, North Yorkshire, is a specialist consultancy providing business and market analysis, planning, architecture and project management advice to rural estates, businesses and landowners. The company employs more than 30 consultants working across the UK and offers support on projects from ‘concept to completion’ whether diversification beyond traditional rural income streams through to delivering projects that better utilise estate land or assets for residential, commercial, retail or tourism/leisure purposes.
