Foundry’s CIO 100 award recognises enterprise excellence and innovation in IT

Foundry’s CIO has named Reconomy Group as a 2022 CIO 100 award winner. For more than 30 years, the CIO 100 Awards have recognised innovative organisations around the world that exemplify the highest level of strategic and operational excellence in IT.

The annual CIO 100 Awards celebrate 100 organisations and the teams within them that are using IT in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimising business processes, enabling growth, or improving relationships with customers.

The award is an acknowledged mark of enterprise excellence. Executives from the winning companies will be recognised at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards, taking place in Los Angeles later this year.

Reconomy Group is an innovative, tech-led provider of circular economy-focused services, with the purpose of creating a truly sustainable world by conserving finite resources. The Group’s extensive service portfolio helps businesses around the world improve their ESG outcomes through three main verticals; Recycle, Comply and Re-use.

Reconomy Group has been recognised by the CIO 100 Awards for its digitalXchange supply chain integration and digitisation project in its Recycle division. This enables Reconomy Group’s extensive UK supply chain - consisting primarily ofregionally operating SMEs - to seamlessly integrate their back-end programmes with Reconomy Group’s own systems.

This not only enables the dynamic, automated transfer of waste movement data and compliance information for Reconomy Group’s customers, it is also revolutionising its supply chain’s own operational practices, helping them grow their businesses by making them more efficient and expanding their reach.

Jody Fullman, CIO for Reconomy Group, said:

“As the leading provider of tech-enabled services to enable a circular economy, the continued development and implementation of cutting-edge, technology-driven ways of working are fundamental to our business model. The digitalXchange is truly unique in our industry, featuring a range of technologies that make digital integration simple for all supply chain partners without the need for major system change. This award is fantastic recognition of our technology and supply chain teams’ hard work and acknowledges the long-term commitment we have made to investing in innovations that benefit our customers, our suppliers and ourselves.”

Anne McCrory, Group VP, Customer Experience & Operations, Foundry, formerly IDG Communications, Inc. said:

"This year’s CIO 100 class demonstrates grit, innovation, and deep teamwork. Many projects are related to streamlining data flows and insights to drive the business, bringing innovations like the metaverse to life, and driving value during the pandemic in myriad ways.

“We are honoured to showcase these achievements and the people behind them as we gather in person once again for a team-based experience at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards in California in August.”
