Cornerblock, Bruntwood’s latest redevelopment in Birmingham, will feature the city’s largest rooftop garden.

The 2,800 sq. ft. outdoor space will be fitted with all-weather tables and benches, attractive plants and shrubbery, and will have Wi-Fi access.

The spacious rooftop garden will be officially opened in November to coincide with the opening of the building, and will enable Cornerblock customers access to beautiful views of the city. As well as being a place to relax or work away from the desk, the space will also be available for customers to use for meetings and private functions.

Rob Valentine, head of Bruntwood’s Birmingham office, said: “We may not be importing 20 tonnes of sand and parading through the city on Camels as speculated on 1 April, however Cornerblock will feature a rooftop oasis, in the form of its terrace.

“Our key focus for Cornerblock is workplace wellbeing and we believe that the rooftop garden will provide a great place for our clients to get away from their desks and relax in an open and peaceful environment.”

Designed with physical and mental wellness in mind, Cornerblock will offer 110,000 sq. ft. of much needed bespoke office space in the Colmore Business District, with onsite parking, secure cycle storage, male and female shower and changing facilities, a state of the art gym and the roof garden.

Situated a short walk from Snow Hill train station, and with the many amenities available on Colmore Row and surrounding Colmore Business District, Cornerblock is ideally situated for businesses already operating, or looking to set up business, in Birmingham.

The building has been stripped back to its original framework and rebuilt to more modern specifications to effectively create a new building, with floor to ceiling windows, an inviting double-height reception area and high grade finishes throughout to help meet the needs of the contemporary workplace environment.

Bruntwood has already received considerable interest from potential customers for their most ambitious development to date in any city. Customers are able to benefit from a bespoke interior, tailored to meet the needs of their individual business culture and desired work atmosphere.
