When discussing property, you will often hear the phrase “curb appeal” thrown about in regards to how your property looks from the outside. A house that has good curb appeal will always be warm and inviting. This concept can also be applied to a business, as a way of helping foot traffic through the door. Here are some of the ways in which you can improve the curb appeal of your business!

Structure

Firstly, you need to make sure that the structure of your company’s building is good. The walls should be clean and crack-free, the glass in your windows should be polished to a shine, and the property in general should be well-maintained. These are all little things that can help to make it look well-cared-for and inviting.

You can also think about introducing other factors to your commercial property. For example, a stainless steel glass canopy will look great on a more modern building, whilst giving customers to stand in bad weather before they enter the property itself. There are many different styles of canopies out there, and the right one can add a little extra something to the outside of your property in a way you did not anticipate.

Signage

If you want to get people coming in through the door of your business, you need to make sure that you have some signs up! One of the most important will be the one with your logo! It is a clear indicator that you are a business, and will help to begin to establish a connection with a customer from the moment they set eyes on it.

However, it is not the only sign that you need to include. You should also think about adding signs with important information such as your opening times, contact information, and many other details. Even if your business is closed when a customer finds it, these pieces of information could act as an invitation back when you are open!

Windows

Any business that wants to attract a good deal of passing traffic needs to master the art of the window display. This is a massive part of commercial curb appeal, so you need to ensure that your windows are inviting and the perfect advert for what lies inside your shop.

It does not matter what you sell, just make sure that your windows are able to advertise it perfectly. The art of visual merchandising can take a while to master, especially for windows, but it is so worth it once you have a window display that customers can’t help but stop and wonder at!

These are three things that you can do to improve the curb appeal of your business, and there are many more! Step outside and take a look at your building as it currently stands. Do you think it could look a little friendlier? If so, you need to make sure that you take steps to improve its curb appeal and make it a welcoming place for all!
