Overview

Our Past

Starting in an agricultural environment in North Devon in 1987, NDLT were quick to see the potential on the other side of the country and only a year later opened their Northamptonshire workshop. In 1992 the company consolidated its operations in Corby and then in 1999 an opportunity to expand the company was taken when it took over the machinery and some of the staff from H. Harrison & Son, a long established local motor engineering company. This formed the basis of the Engine Reconditioning enterprise and complemented the existing business functions. We originally specialized in Yale and Hyster brands remaining ‘independent’ until 2004 when the excellence of the Hyundai product range was recognized and the company was appointed their main dealer for Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and parts of Milton Keynes.

Our Present

We are a small but energetic company. Our day to day routine includes the sale of new and used trucks, responding to emergency call outs, completing pre-booked services, workshop repairs and preparing our contract fleet. Each member of the enthusiastic staff is a specialist in his/her own right but, as a whole, function as an integrated team to ensure customers receive the attention and care they deserve. We believe in the personal touch, in being on hand when you require advice or assistance from an expert and delivering excellence.

Our Future

NDLT’s continued commitment to customer care will always be the pivot of any future planning. The main focus is to grow the Forklift business whilst remaining aware of other financially advantageous possibilities. Hyundai is a global brand and as their dealer for this area we will strive to increase market share and raise awareness of this quality product. The expansion of cleaning equipment sales & service which we regard as a rapidly developing sector, is another medium term goal. In September 2012 we moved premises to a much larger facility- still on Earlstrees Industrial Estate – and this will enable us to grow the business whilst retaining the “small company” approach to customer service which has enabled us to look after many of our customers for 25 years.

Hyundai Heavy Industries take personal development seriously and provide a wide range of support for technical programmes and specific job-related requirements. We regularly send our engineers to the HHI training college in Belgium on residential courses to ensure we are right up to date with the latest products and technology.
