Halesowen-based provider of IT services and support, Orbits IT, today announces further expansion, including the relocation of the company’s Midland’s office to larger premises on Long Lane Trading Estate, the recruitment of three new apprentices, and the widening of its service area coverage into the South West region. The news comes as the company, which specialises in working with SMEs and charities, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

With Orbits’ team of IT service and support technicians growing steadily year on year, the new office offers plenty of scope to accommodate the company’s increasing numbers, as well as high visibility from the main road to support further expansion over the coming years.

Sorrel Wilkes and Mya Hackett are two of Orbit’s three new apprentices. They join the Midlands team as Apprentice Desktop Support Technician and Digital Marketing Apprentice respectively, both undertaking 12-month full-time placements.

Morgan King joins Orbits’ office near Cardiff in South Wales as an Apprentice Desktop Support Technician. The new recruits follow the business pledge to recruit at least one apprentice every year.

Finally, as Orbits moves into its second decade of business, part of its ambitious growth plan is a move into the South West region. The company therefore now provides IT services and support within an approximate 30-mile radius of Bristol.

Orbits IT Operations Director, Dean Bengough, says:

“Our 10th year is certainly one we will remember. The Covid-19 pandemic has seen demand from new and old clients surging as they desperately seek to modernise their businesses to enable safe, professional and productive homeworking.

“While demand has returned somewhat to normality, the team have remained busy preparing and implementing the next pillars for our continued year-on-year growth. The new office, new apprentices and wider service area coverage are all part of our long-term plan.”

Orbits IT has recently been named as a finalist in the Service Provider of the Year (up to £1M) category for the 2021 Midlands Business Awards.
