Sustainable online retailer, Ecovibe, have created a new range of innovative laundry products that are set to challenge supermarket best sellers following growing interest in sustainability.

The Leeds-based online retailer currently offers a range of eco-friendly essentials, from bamboo bedding to compostable bin bags, with the aim to help the everyday consumer make simple eco switches.

After seeing an impressive 64% Year on Year increase of sales of their own-brand cleaning products, Ecovibe are set to expand their product offering with a brand-new laundry range. The range includes everything from laundry detergent sheets, non-biological laundry detergent, stain remover powder and nappy wash powder and is set to aid those looking to make environmentally friendly changes to their home routine.

The new collection aims to reduce the amount of water and plastic used in everyday cleaning products and packaging, whilst also lowering the level of carbon emissions produced during transportation.

Stacey Skidmore, Managing Director Ecovibe had to say,

“Up to 80% of the average bottle of detergent is water and our new collection looks to avoid this unnecessary usage, and subsequent waste, by removing it completely. With the absence of water, we’re reducing both the volume and weight of the product, making it lighter for transport, resulting in less carbon emissions being produced through getting the products to the consumer.”

Many cleaning products on the market contain ingredients harmful to the environment, including dyes, optical brighteners, phosphates, and chlorine bleach. Ecovibe’s laundry collection is free from toxic additives yet doesn’t compromise on effectiveness.

To specifically combat plastic-pollution, the new range is biodegradable and 100% recyclable, inclusive of packaging, helping consumers to reduce waste in their everyday lives.

Skidmore continues,

“Single use plastic is one of the biggest polluters to our oceans, and it is estimated that 20% of global disposable plastic packaging could be replaced by reusable materials and by only shipping active ingredients. The new range aims to show consumers just how easy and convenient it is to switch to reusable and refillable products.”

The innovative collection will be available to buy from June 28th, 2021 on Ecovibe’s website.
