THE self-storage company, Sure Store, and flooring specialists, John L. Lord & Sons Ltd, have exchanged contracts at Park 66 - the mixed-use scheme off the M66 - which are due to complete in March 2019, leaving only one unit available.

Sure Store and John L. Lord & Sons will join national retailers Home Bargains, The Food Warehouse, KFC and Costa Coffee at the 12 acre scheme, being delivered by Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities.

Nigel Jones, development director at Sladen Estates said:

“Securing these early deals has demonstrated the inherent demand for small to medium sized units in the region.

“With only one unit remaining, we are confident that the scheme will reach full capacity prior to practical completion. The remaining 22,712 sq ft industrial unit is, along with the rest of the scheme, being developed to a high specification and is available on a leasehold and freehold basis.

“Nationally, there is a lack of supply of industrial units at this size coming to the market to purchase freehold, so the north Manchester market is uniquely positioned to benefit from the opportunities available at Park 66. We’ve had a really good response and we’re proud to be bringing more business to the region and supporting firms’ growth.”

Sure Store will be taking a 18,150 sq ft space to expand its home, business and office storage services, with John L. Lord & Sons securing a 24,721 sq ft unit, both agreed well in advance of the units’ completion.

Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities are experienced in delivering high quality developments throughout the UK, across a range of sectors and have a development pipeline of circa £800 million under ownership.

Avison Young, Manchester and CRBE, Manchester are advising Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities.
