Multi-disciplinary property developer Rengen has entered into a new partnership with London developer and investor Farleigh Property, allowing both companies to combine their wealth of experience in a new joint venture to be known as Farleigh Rengen Developments.
Bath-based Rengen is a subsidiary of the Iesis Group. The Group provides global property services to include development management, project & cost management, quantity surveying, and structural & civil engineering. The Group has experience in residential, student, leisure and hospitality, commercial and retail property schemes with projects including new builds, refurbishments as well as dealing with listed buildings and national monuments.
Rengen was launched by Iestyn Lewis in 2007. Mr Lewis, who has a background in development and consultancy, has experience in a variety of sectors such as fund monitoring, risk management, residential, student, hotel, office, retail and infrastructure. Shortly after the 2007 launch, David Steadman joined as a founding director of The Group and has successfully delivered developments throughout the UK, even providing on-site technical expertise for projects in Sierra Leone and Liberia. His experience varies across a number of sectors including high-end residential, affordable housing, student accommodation, commercial and retail.
Managing Director of Rengen, Peter James, has over 30 years’ experience in the financial and property sectors. He was formerly a high ranking civil servant before moving into the private sector and prior to joining Rengen ran one of the largest property development businesses in South Wales.
Rengen has been involved in many high profile schemes in the South West, including the preservation of the Labour Exchange - a World War II damaged building in the World Heritage City of Bath.
Further afield it has been involved in developing 80,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space at the Southampton Regional Business Centre, and a 250-bed purpose built student housing scheme in Falmouth.
Farleigh was launched in 2016 by Robert Mulligan and Oli Grove and the fledgling firm already has several high quality and prominent residential schemes under its belt in East Dulwich, Weybridge and Golders Green in London and Walton-on-Thames.
Mr Mulligan started his first property business at 18 before moving to London to work for a developer. Mr Grove, a former professional rugby player, has involved himself in his family’s property development firm Earlplace Ltd for many years.
The company has previously worked in partnership with Prime City Developments and Rainier Developments on other schemes.
