Meltwater, a global leader in media intelligence, is opening an office in Manchester, creating jobs in the city. The decision follows a rigorous search in which the region was chosen for its growing technology scene, diverse range of expertise and the connectivity it offers across Europe and the rest of the world.

Managing Director of the new Manchester base, Iiro Kaukoniemi, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be building a presence in Manchester. As a global organisation, it’s crucial we have access to the best talent in every region, and Manchester offers us this with its burgeoning technology scene. This is another key landmark in Meltwater’s continued growth and a move which enables us to maintain our strong foothold as a leader in media intelligence across the world.”

The company is looking for talented people across a range of roles including software engineers, user experience designers and sales executives. Successful candidates will be working with high profile clients such as Manchester United PLC, Central Manchester University, Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester College and more. With over 60 offices and more than 1,400 employees across six continents, this is Meltwater’s fourth in the UK, where it also operates out of London, Edinburgh and Cardiff. The company will be based at Accelerate Places, located on 101 Princess Street.
