Exciting new developments at North Staffordshire premier spa resort are being masterminded by locally based Croft Architecture. Work is underway on a luxury restaurant and bar and a separate wellbeing centre at Moddershall Oaks.

The project is expected to attract new visitors to Moddershall Oaks and create more than 10 new jobs. Croft Architecture crafted plans for the development and is now project managing the work on site.

“It is a significant development which will enhance the already fantastic visitor experience at Moddershall Oaks,”

said Carl Croft, Managing Director of Croft Architecture.

“Working in partnership with Moddershall Oaks, we have finalised plans which will create new standards of luxury and make better use of the site for customers and staff.

The building will be transformed into a stunning two-storey restaurant including private dining room, lounges, bars and lakeside terraces. The project will result in a better separation between special occasions, casual dining and spa customers.

The restaurant and bar has been designed to a very high standard and affords customers panoramic views of the Staffordshire countryside. The building will be remodelled to create a better separation between restaurant and day spa facilities and provides a fabulous environment for weddings and banqueting.

The new wellness centre will be totally unique in Staffordshire and provide a holistic solution for people demanding a boutique fitness facility with studios, gym, activewear and accessory outlet, healthy eating café and take-out food.”

Croft Architecture has gained planning permission for the two projects from Stafford Borough Council and is now coordinating the construction stage.

Contractors are due on site in mid-November to start work. The first phase involves the redevelopment of a former storage building site, transforming it into an attractive two-storey complex with distinct areas for an office suite and the new wellbeing centre.

Moving office staff from the main building will generate space for the new restaurant and bars over two-storeys at the centre of the Moddershall Oaks venue.

Both projects are planned to be up and running by mid-2018.

Carl added:

“The Directors at Moddershall Oaks are excited to utilise the new offices and meeting spaces to improve overall staff accommodation as the business continues to grow, including helping to develop a centre of excellence in hospitality training in Staffordshire. Moddershall Oaks is keen to be the leader in customer service training and development offering a number of courses and programmes. Alongside this, the new restaurant and the wellness centre, Moddershall Oaks aims to increase visitors to North Staffordshire from outside the county.

This prestigious development programme not only enhances Moddershall Oaks but will generate tourists and wealth for the area. We have worked on previous projects with Moddershall Oaks and are thrilled to be involved in these exciting plans.”
