The Business Growth Hub, part of the Growth Company, is holding an event for Greater Manchester businesses involved in the district heating market to help them take advantage of emerging supply chain opportunities.

£5bn market

The UK district heating market is expected to be worth £5bn over the next five years, with 10 projects being developed across Greater Manchester alone, including the civic heat network project, which is due to start in 2018.

The whole day event, which takes place at the Friends’ Meeting House on Tuesday 12 September, will feature a range of practical and advisory sessions led by industry experts.

There will also be an opportunity for companies to hear from heating supply chain firms looking to form partnerships, including Swedish-based Nordic Heat.

The event is suitable for businesses with a wide range of specialisms, including pipes, valves and leak detection systems, heat interface units (HIUs), insulations systems, as well as electrical components, metering systems and other digital solutions.
