A prestigious five-acre site at Blockley has been sold for housing following a successful marketing campaign by Bruton Knowles.

Cameron Homes will build 23 homes at Draycott Road to the east of the village, 11 of them to be affordable.

Scott Winnard from Bruton Knowles’ Land and Development said the aim was to provide a quality scheme in this high profile Cotswolds location.

“Blockley is a picturesque village about four miles from Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden.”

The development is dependent on a Section 106 agreement relating to the community and education amounting to £167,731.

Scott Winnard concluded:

“The masterplan envisages plenty of green space on the northern and eastern fringes of the site as well as public open space.

“This is a significant residential development, around half of which will be affordable homes including social, affordable rental and shared ownership options for local residents."
