NATIONAL property, construction and infrastructure consultancy Pick Everard has strengthened its knowledge within the defence, science and technology sectors with the appointment of Adrian Randall.

Adrian – who has more than 20 years’ experience delivering large, multi-million-pound infrastructure investments – has joined the firm as a strategic consultant and will operating out of its south west region with a sector-wide remit. He will be focusing on advising on delivery strategy for major projects and capital investment programmes.

Speaking of his new role, Adrian said:

“I get real satisfaction seeing a project through from beginning to end so I’m excited to be continuing my career at Pick Everard. As well as setting out a new approach for delivering services, I’m hoping to use my experience to help shape and guide the business, while adding value to project delivery and reducing risk for our clients.”

Before moving to Pick Everard, Adrian spent more than 18 years at the Government’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl). Prior to this, he worked with the Ministry of Defence as a strategic planning manager developing outsourcing and infrastructure strategies.

Adrian said:

“One of my proudest achievements to date is when I led the rationalisation of Dstl’s built environment and real estate, taking 16 sites down to four by delivering a £100m capital investment and business relocation programme.”

Adrian also led Dstl’s commercial operation and latterly Dstl’s latest £200m business rationalisation and investment programme – including Dstl’s facility management operation.

He added:

“I’m looking forward to using my experience and proven track record of delivering complex and demanding outcomes to improve business efficiency and grow Pick Everard’s knowledge within the defence and science and technology sectors.”
