Some of Bath’s leading ‘movers and shakers’ gathered last week to toast the city’s new classical homes development at Holburne Park.

They raised a glass to celebrate progress on the development, where construction is well underway and the first new homes are already coming out of the ground.

Leaders from the city’s business and property sectors and some of the early home-buyers got a chance to meet the Holburne Park developers and project team, and find out more about how plans to create a new community on the edge of Bath are taking shape.

The reception was held at the Park’s eye-catching Marketing Pavilion, designed to demonstrate the quality and style of the buildings being created. It features complete bathrooms, kitchens and living spaces, and also includes a large 3-D model so people can see the whole development and understand the layout and community being created.

Francis Firmstone, director of Hardrock Developments, the developers behind Holburne Park said:

“We were delighted with the turn out to our event and the great feedback we’ve been receiving about what we’re doing here. It’s really important to us that we create a community that works for Bath and for the people who are choosing to make this their home.”

Holburne Park has been designed by leading architect Robert Adam along classical lines but with modern living in mind. He has created a range of homes to appeal to a wide range of people from young couples to families and downsizers as the aim is to develop a new and balanced neighbourhood in keeping with Bath.

Phase 1 of the development comprises a mixture of two to four-bedroom terraced houses set among landscaped, tree-lined grounds and the first homes are set to be ready to move into later this year. Apartments and larger houses will be built in later phases of the development.
