Young Accountant Shortlisted for Business Training Award

Robinson Reed Layton, the independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, have been delighted with the news that trainee Chartered Accountant Josh Stevens has been shortlisted for the Individual Achievement Award in the CCB Excellence in Business Training Awards 2018.

Josh has been with the firm since 2012, initially starting on an apprenticeship to complete his AAT training, before progressing on to recently complete his final ACA exams. By February of next year, he will have completed the requisite amount of workplace training to gain Chartered status.

Josh was thrilled to have been nominated, saying: “I’m delighted to have been nominated for an Excellence in Business Training Award – it came as a complete surprise! Robinson Reed Layton have been extremely supportive since I started my apprenticeship, and have provided me with a range of opportunities to develop my skills and self-confidence, which has given me a great start to my career.”

Partner Simon Reed commented on the news, saying: “We are really pleased for Josh. It is fantastic to see him getting recognition for his outstanding hard work over the last few years. In that time, he has progressed from a young apprentice to a key member of our audit team, and is a credit to the firm.
