Wild West Communications, a South West public relations consultancy with offices in Bristol and Truro, has won three industry accolades at the PRCA Dare Awards - including Best New Consultancy in the South West and Wales (15th June).

The agency, which became an independent South West PR and social media consultancy 18 months ago, was praised by PRCA (Public Relations and Communications Association) judges for ‘nurturing brilliance’ within its team. The prestigious PRCA Dare Awards strives to seek out and reward the very best PR and communications professionals and campaigns, across the UK.

Senior Campaign Executive, Sam Shrimpton (24) took home the award for Rising Star of the Year and was commended for his ‘lateral thinking and desire to remain creatively fresh.’ The consultancy was also recognised for its stakeholder engagement work, taking home the Corporate Affairs Award for a recent campaign supporting the reinstatement of a passenger helicopter service to the Isles of Scilly.

Wild West were also shortlisted for campaigns for leading national food brands Kelly’s of Cornwall and Clarks Natural Sweeteners and Small Consultancy of the Year.

Director, Georgie Upton says: “I’m so proud of our amazing team. It’s been a brilliant 19 months since we officially became an independent consultancy - maintaining our strong links to London via our sister agency Wild Card and opening the doors to our Bristol office at the close of 2016. To be named Best New Consultancy in the South West is the icing on the cake.

“We are chuffed to have taken home three PRCA awards – testimony to the hard work of the entire team and our fantastic clients. I’m particularly proud of our rising star Sam – really well deserved!”

Wild West operates across three main sectors; travel and tourism, food & drink and lifestyle. The team represent some of the best-known names in the South West and beyond, including Rodda’s Clotted Cream, Eden Project, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall, Watergate Bay Hotel, Devon-based Forthglade, Kelly’s of Cornwall and Dickinson & Morris Melton Mowbray Pork Pies.
