Marketing and communications agency Plinkfizz continues to grow with the recruitment of three new staff across the PR, design and marketing arms of the Staffordshire-based business.

The new appointments follow industry recognition of the agency which has been shortlisted for four Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards, ranked 40th by independent publisher Prolific North – the only communications company from Staffordshire to make the list – and most recently in the Northern Marketing Awards in Best Small Agency and Best Low Budget Campaign Under 50k categories.

Kirsty Hewson, from Rode Heath, joins Plinkfizz as PR account manager from a similar role at a Cheshire based agency. She brings her experience of working with a range of clients in the education and charity sectors, together with her expertise on leading national PR campaigns for brands including Zoflora, having originally begun her career in journalism.

She said:

“I am delighted to be welcomed into such a highly regarded agency within the Midlands. I have come from a PR agency and I am excited to join a fully integrated agency and to have the opportunity to bounce ideas off an incredibly creative and talented team.”

Dan Needham joins Plinkfizz as marketing account manager from an integrated B2B marketing agency based in Birmingham. With more than eight years of experience working alongside big clients including Amey PLC and Mini, in his new role Dan will grow and strengthen the agency’s marketing offer, building strategic campaigns for retail, education, manufacturing and professional services clients.

He said:

“Plinkfizz are an agency which is ready to pounce and I wanted to be on that journey with them. Having the opportunity to push my clients and employer, while also pushing myself, was critical for me.

Plinkfizz felt like the right choice with the right opportunities for growth. I’m looking forward to taking the marketing team to the next level and creating stronger relationships with our new and current clients.”

Experienced lead designer and studio manager Rob Forster joins Plinkfizz from a large global agency with headquarters in Manchester. Rob brings significant experience and has been lead creative in both consumer and B2B advertising agencies. He has worked on everything from corporate identities to fully integrated campaigns for leading brands, TV commercials and major photography art direction projects in the UK and Europe.

He said:

“This is an agency that’s literally fizzing, with a great team at the core, great clients and with a passion and enthusiasm for work that’s totally refreshing.

I’m thrilled at the prospect of being part of this enterprise and the bright future developing great business building ideas and creative solutions for our clients.”
