Metro Mayor Dan Norris will visit the region’s largest independent holiday club provider, Shine Wraparound Care Ltd as the Bristol based business celebrates its 10th Birthday (this Wednesday 28th July at 2.15pm at Shine Community Sports Hall, Brecon Road, Bristol, BS9 4DT.)

Handing over a Birthday card the Mayor will meet co-founder Shaun Parker who will explain how in the last decade the company has expanded from a ‘two man band’ to over eighty employees today. Shine is now one of the largest independent employers in the district thanks, in part, to a highly successful apprenticeship scheme.

But they won’t stop there and the ever growing business is expanding to new locations across the city and other local authorities in the next few months.

The Mayor will tour the facility and see the sports hall where primary school aged children will be taking part in a wide range of holiday club activities including gymnastics, mini adventure and creative sessions. Shine also run a basketball club and Mr Norris is excited to brush up on his skills and shoot some hoops having been a keen basketball player in his school days.
