with the launch of a Penzance-based agency

Penzance-born marketer Josh Fletcher and serial entrepreneur, Neil Tregarthen, have launched a digital marketing agency called Target which is already making waves in West Cornwall by guaranteeing quantifiable business results to clients - a commitment that the duo believe its competitors will squeal at.

The strategy-first and ROI focussed agency, which refuses to accept a penny from its clients until it meets or exceeds campaigns objectives is on hand to deliver technically robust websites, hyper-targeted Facebook, Instagram and Google advertising campaigns; as well as email marketing, digital strategy, brand development and a range of additional social media services, as it looks to outpace other digital agencies in the race for results.

Expanding on the agency’s value proposition, managing director Fletcher said:

“Throughout my professional career there have been times where I've had to deal with other digital agencies that only talk about intangible metrics such as ‘likes’, click- through-rates, impressions and time on site; which made us realise there was a gap in the market for a digital agency that is focussed on real results. There are very few agencies that work on the principle of converting £1 ad spend into £2 revenue; or that develop lead generation and sales-oriented websites which talk about solving the customer’s pains and problems, rather than ‘vanity copy’.”

The digitally disruptive agency is backed by highly successful Cornish entrepreneur and investor, Neil Tregarthen, who grew the revenue of his last investment - global recruitment giants NES - to US$1 billion before selling the business for £234 million in the autumn of 2012.

Discussing his latest investment, Target Agency, Tregarthen said:

“I passionately believe that the majority of businesses follow a ‘me too’ approach; meaning they never truly differentiate themselves or their offering and in turn never dominate their chosen markets, even in their own backyards - which is where Josh and his team step in. I am seeing the Target team make a real difference here in Cornwall, and no doubt further afield very soon.”

It has been a dream start for Fletcher and his team of digital natives, who are already helping a host of Cornish businesses to build their brand online:

“Last month we increased Penzance Cricket Club’s social membership sign-ups by more than 200% through Facebook ads alone, at a cost of just £1.25 per new member - with each new member living less than 10 miles from the club's venue. By leveraging Instagram, we have generated in excess of 550 qualified leads for a £32,000 product on behalf of a London-based football academy. Next up, our designers are working on branding and an eCommerce website for a Cornish gin start-up, two new eCommerce websites as well as Facebook advertising campaigns for a haircare brand and a software provider, both in the South East.”

Target is currently offering Cornish businesses a free 30-minute strategy session to discuss how digital marketing can accelerate business growth and performance in various sectors. Book a free consultation today through the agency’s website: talktotarget.co.uk
