Housemates CEO Takes National Role At World Business Angels Forum

Housemates founder and CEO Lydia Jones has been appointed as the UK’s representative at the World Business Angels Investment Forum.


The UK’s presence will provide Britain’s start-ups, scaleups and high growth businesses with access to global equity investment markets and opens doors for economic development.


The World Business Angels Investment Forum is an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, with the primary aim of improving access to funding for start-ups, scaleups and entrepreneurs.


With this appointment, the UK joins the largest global forum equity investment markets and will be able to connect and interact with international investors. The event also provides local UK angel investors, incubation centres, accelerators, private equity funds, co-investment funds, technology parks, corporate ventures and aspiring entrepreneurs with greater opportunities to connect with global leaders in the same field.


Lydia Jones is the Founder & CEO of Housemates, a student-first, digital housing platform that looks to simplify the student accommodation process. Housemates works with stakeholders in every area of the student accommodation industry, including students, landlords, purpose-built student accommodation operators, universities and partners to ensure speed, security and accessibility to students on a global scale.


With seven years of experience developing platforms in fitness, AI, social, lifestyle, and real estate, Lydia has worked across a number of sectors and has previous experience of being in Founder and Project Manager roles.
